Located inside the gated community of Great Island, this large Cape Cod contemporary with a NEW PRIVATE HEATED IN GROUND POOL home is perfect for your next family vacation (bring the dog*, too!). You can't get much closer to the beach as you're a short distance to gorgeous private soft white sandy beaches on Nantucket Sound which is a prime location for Kite/windsurfing & fishing (private boat ramp). You will be only minutes from dining, shopping, golfing, and many children’s activities. In-season Sat to Sat.
At approximately 2500 sq feet, this home has central A/C and offers (4) spacious bedrooms, (4) full bathrooms and sleeps up to (8) people comfortably (max capacity). With (2) primary bedrooms, this home is ideal for one family or two! Outside offers a hot tub and heated swimming pool.
On the first level of the home you will find (3) bedrooms: (1) primary bedroom with king bed and private en suite bathroom with deck access, (1) bedroom with queen bed, and (1) bedroom with two twin beds. There’s also a full bath on this floor with two sinks and tub/shower. In addition, you'll find the laundry room on this floor as well as a sitting area with a sofa (queen sleeper) with TV offering adults or children and area to relax and unwind after a long day at the beach.
The top floor holds a beautiful large chef’s kitchen with modern appliances, a cozy sitting area with TV, and a dining room that seats ten. On this floor you will also find another primary bedroom with king bed and en suite bathroom, deck access, and a bonus/study room with queen bed. In the main hall there is another full bath with a shower. Enjoy relaxing on the expansive wrap around deck with comfortable outdoor furniture for breathing in the salty air accessible from the top floor.
The large circular driveway accommodates several cars however overnight parking is limited to 4 vehicles. No need to pack beach gear! The owners offer guests (6) beach chairs, (2) umbrellas and (2) boogie boards!
About the Neighborhood:
Great Island, a private gated community located mid-Cape, has a reputation of being one of the Cape’s most exclusive areas! It’s an ideal location for those looking to rent a coastal home with the added privacy of an island setting. The area offers abundant outdoor space great for windsurfing, kitesurfing, kayaks, stand-up boarding, fishing, and has a boat ramp for easy water access. In addition, the neighborhood has three quiet private beaches (accessible only to Great Island owners and renters). The first two beautiful white sand beaches are located on Nantucket Sound - White Gate Beach and Whale Beach. The third beach, Cove Beach, is located on Lewis bay. This protected bay is an ideal location for many water sporty especially kayaks and stand-up boarding. The neighborhood is only a short distance to Seagull Beach which is about 1/2 mile away from the private beaches. All of the private beaches can be seen in attached photos.

This house truly has it ALL - perfect location in Yarmouth, close to everything including grocery stores and our favorite fish market! We enjoyed the added security of being in a gated community with just a short walk (5 minutes) to the beautiful shores of Nantucket Sound with private beach access. We were often the only family on the beach! Two master suites with full bathrooms as well as two other large bedrooms and two additional full bathrooms were absolutely perfect for our needs. (The home also has two pull-out couches for sleeping). We also enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen for cooking meals together. The house was very clean, and the family/dining area was spacious for everyone to be comfortable together. We were definitely fans of the central vacuum upstairs and downstairs to keep the sand at bay! The in-ground pool and hot tub made our trip even more memorable. What a great addition! Beds were more than comfortable and house was well air conditioned for a very hot week. I've rented in this area for years and by far this was the nicest home.

Lower level has 3 spacious bedrooms, including one with an en suite bathroom, and upstairs has a master and a study with a pullout. The house is on a large lot, so very private and quiet. We've stayed on great island several times before at different houses, and this was our preferred choice. We have a family of 6, and it was very comfortable. The hot tub was a nice treat, and when we had an issue with the chemical balance in the hot tub, the owner came out immediately to fix, followed by the hot tub maintenance person the next day. A pool in 2022 will be a huge plus!For those who haven't stayed in this community before, it's great. 24/7 manned entrance is really nice to have, and the area has a laid back feel with close proximity to a couple of key, private beaches along the ocean side of Yarmouth. The house is no more than an 8 minute walk to each, and you can walk 15 minutes to Seagull Beach as well. As a long time cape visitor from Rhode Island, this place is highly recommended!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This vacation home is truly MAGNIFICENT! We are a family party of grandparents, 2 sons and daughters-in-law, 2 children and one toddler. We all had a wonderful time there. It is a real joy to have so much room, so many bathrooms, and the kitchen was superb! One night we boiled up five 2-1/2 lb. lobsters using the stove's pot filler. Never have we been able to have our lobster nights with so much room to maneuver. Great Island is perhaps the best location I've ever stayed on the Cape, and I've been going there for more than 60 years. All the beaches are between 3 and 5 minutes easy walk from the house. We made friends with the few families we met on Whale Rd. beach (unfortunate weather this year, but we are all stalwarts!). Because there were only 2 or 3 real beach days, we didn't go to White Gate Beach or Cove beach, but we took many walks around there. It's too bad one can't walk or bike to the south end of Great Island as it's a private community, but we understand, and we loved the Great Island gated community we were in for its safety and serenity.We truly adored Great Island and, in particular, this beautiful and private home. We used the hot tub often. And the owners are putting in a pool in 2022!

Also, with kids and dogs, it would be nice to have some cheap stick-on carpet treads for the stairs. They are very slippery.Overall everything was excellent, and would be happy to rent this home again!
